Ruthe London’s music is a combination of blues, jazz and bossa nova   mixed with her own style, with a slow swing or a fast beat,  originated from her Brazilian roots.    The singer/songwriter has released two CDs.   “Bossa in Blues” (2003) presents her own compositions beside others  great musicians such as Tom Waits, Paul Rogers, Little Walter and Herbert Vianna. “Nosso Blue” (2008) includes her own songs ,as well as Cazuza, Rita Lee, Marina Lima, Little Walter, Don Hecht, Alan Block and S. Burk . Walter Nery was the music and arrangements director in both albums.

In her performances Ruthe presents a repertoire of her own songs, as well as those of the greatest Brazilian songwriters such as Tom Jobim , Djavan, Rita Lee,  Herbert Viana, amongst others.  

Ruthe London started playing  guitar at 15 years old, when she composed her very first song. In the 90s she was introduced to the American blues and jazz, and it became a passion for life, and started reflecting on her further works.

Ruthe London performed at many different cultural spaces in Sao Paulo and other cities all over Brazil.

In March 2007 she traveled to Haiti as the unique Brazilian representative  to perform at the first Jazz Festival in that country.  In June2007, she went to Texas (land of the folk music) in a week tour playing with Renn Carson, Cid Cassone and Renata Myers showing her flavoring Brazilian bossa in blues with enormous success.

Living in New Jersey since 2011, Ruthe London have been playing in some private events with her trio.

By mid-2013, she started as a correspondent, in New York, to a radio show named “JAZZ Caravan” for Rádio USP, which belongs to the University of São Paulo, presenting comments and insights, (musicians, music and milestones of the jazz music on the Big Apple).

Still in 2013, she performed for about 200 brazilian business men, in a gathering at the Lincoln Center.
